Viking Gift
Looking for the perfect present for a modern-day Viking warrior or shieldmaiden? Why not check out our gift sets? We have carefully selected and paired products to create meaningful gift sets.
The products are around 15% cheaper than if you bought them separately, and all pendants come with a cord or chain included.
Products come in our exclusive VKNG bags, and each gift set comes in an Odin All-father and one-eyed warrior gift box that they will love as well.
What are some of the options that you have to choose from?
Hail Odin Gift Box
This first set features a ring featuring the runes for “hail Odin,” which is what the Vikings shouted before going into battle to honor the god of war. Odin also gave the runes to the Vikings. He saw the Norns using the runes at the base of Yggdrasil and envied their knowledge. He hung himself from the tree for nine days and nights while pierced by his spear to learn the secrets of the runes.
The spearhead necklace that comes in this gift set is Gungnir. It features the Valknut, the symbol for Valhalla. This is Odin’s great hall in Asgard where only the bravest fallen warriors find themselves in the afterlife. This is the perfect gift set for a modern Viking warrior and follower of Odin.
Fenrir and Vegvisir Fit Box
This gift box contains a Fenrir arm ring. Arm rings were worn as symbols of loyalty to and membership in a warrior group. The Vikings would also swear oaths on rings and wear them as a symbol of that promise.
This one features wolf heads. This could be Fenrir, the wolf destined to kill Odin himself at Ragnarok. But they could also be Odin’s companion wolves Geri and Freki. They represent challenging characteristics of the god that are dangerous, but also sources of strength. We all have these inner volatile powers.
The accompanying pendant necklace features Vegvisir, the Norse Compass, one of the magical runic symbols from the Icelandic grimoires. It is a wayfinding symbol that ensures you never lose your way, even if you do not know where you are going.
Tree of Life Gift Box
This gift box features a pendant and set of earrings, each featuring Yggdrasil, the world tree. This giant ash tree sits at the center of the Norse cosmos and the nine worlds are tucked into its roots and branches. It maintains the interconnection of all things and maintains order within the universe.
The tree represents the central role of nature in Viking life and Norse ideology, and can also be linked with nature-based magic practices, such as the Seidr magic practiced by the Vikings. This is a lovely gift set for shieldmaidens and Volva, Viking witches.
Jormungandr Gift Box
The Jormungandr gift box includes an arm ring, for the upper arm, and a finger ring in the shape of a serpent. These represent Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent, that lives in the waters surrounding Midgard. He represents the things that men and gods fear most, but fears must be faced!
One of the children of Loki with the giantess Angrboda, the gods feared the potential power of the child of such a monstrous union, so they threw the baby snake into the waters surrounding Midgard. There it grew to an enormous size and can encircle the world and hold its own tail in its mouth. He will only drop his tail at Ragnarok when he will emerge from the waters to join the battle and fight to the death with Thor.
Mjolnir Gift Box
This gift box includes a Mjolnir pendant in bronze copied from a genuine artifact found at Skane in Sweden, and an arm ring also featuring the Mjolnir symbol. Thor’s Hammer is the most common symbol surviving on jewelry from the Viking age. It is believed to have been a symbol of protection because Thor, as the strongest of the Aesir gods, was charged with protecting Midgard.
Mjolnir is also one of the few symbols that continued to be used well into the Christian period. It may have been worn as a symbol of continued allegiance to the old ways.
There are many more options to choose from, so why not browse the collection and see if you can find the perfect present (or something for yourself).
