Hail Odin Gift Box

This first set features a ring featuring the runes for “hail Odin,” which is what the Vikings shouted before going into battle to honor the god of war. Odin also gave the runes to the Vikings. He saw the Norns using the runes at the base of Yggdrasil and envied their knowledge. He hung himself from the tree for nine days and nights while pierced by his spear to learn the secrets of the runes.

One of the children of Loki with the giantess Angrboda, the gods feared the potential power of the child of such a monstrous union, so they threw the baby snake into the waters surrounding Midgard. There it grew to an enormous size and can encircle the world and hold its own tail in its mouth. Mjolnir Gift Box

Thor’s Hammer is the most common symbol surviving on jewelry from the Viking age.
