Description : What does this product represent?

The Ukko Thor's Hammer pendant is a unique representation of Finnish Viking heritage, handcrafted in sterling silver.

While Finland was not ethnically Viking, it was home to tribes such as the Sami, Tavastians, Kven, and Kareli, who shared cultural ties with their Scandinavian neighbors. Among them, Ukko was revered as the god of thunder and fertility, akin to Thor in Viking mythology. The Sami also called this god Aijeke.

Much like the Vikings wore Thor's hammer for protection, the Finns carried hammer amulets to invoke Ukko’s strength and safeguard their journeys. This pendant replicates a Finnish hammer amulet from the Viking period, blending historical authenticity with timeless symbolism.

Perfect for those drawn to Finland’s unique Viking ties, this amulet is both a striking accessory and a meaningful symbol of protection and resilience.
