    This handcrafted bronze ring combines two potent Viking symbols of strength and knowledge.

    Aegishjalmur, also known as the Helm of Awe, is a runic symbol known from Icelandic grimoires that granted warriors strength, and the fortitude to overcome any enemy.

    It is represented by eight trident-like spikes projecting out from an internal point, offering protection against enemies from all sides.

    Viking warriors would paint this symbol on their foreheads before going into battle for protection and strength.

    On this intricately carved ring, the Helm of Awe is flanked by two ravens, representing the ravens of Odin, Huginn (thought) and Muninn (knowledge).

    These attributes represented Odin in his role as the god of knowledge, with his knowledge of the runes, and ability to look across the nine worlds of the Norse cosmos and see all.

    Placed together on this beautifully crafted ring, they represent the dual Viking attributes of bravery and intelligence.

    Beautiful Ring and Amazing Service

    Despite some hiccups at the start due to the holiday season, when the ring was ready it was shipped swiftly and it arrived soon after. It looked amazing, but sadly it was a little too big for my sister, for whom it was a birthday gift. Luckily the kind Annie with whom I corresponded was understanding, patient and helpful throughout, and I was allowed to change the ring for a smaller size :) Now it fits perfectly and my sister loves it!

    The ring is absolutely great and in full compliance with its description and pictures, but the delivery time was extremely long (2 months!), even though it only had to go from Ukraine to Belgium. That being said, the current troubles in the former country might be at play here and I won't complain much, just be warned you might have to wait quite a bit to receive your command.
