Description : What does this product represent?

Whether raiding or exploring, the Vikings often set out on dangerous seas with little to help them navigate beyond their wits. They may have relied on their rune magic to help them find their way safely.

The later 18th-century Icelandic grimoires record a magical runic symbol known as Vegvisir or the Norse Compass. This symbol ensures that the user never loses their way, even if they do not know where they were going.

This stunning sterling silver pendant sets Vegvisir in a setting of S-shaped snakes, often associated with Loki and representing many of the unexpected obstacles that life throws our way.
